1. Prevent migraines and chronic headaches including cluster headaches. 2. Reduce muscle tension and spasm. 3. Stop tension headaches before they start. 4. Relieve the symptoms of arthritis.5. Improve liver functioning and the elimination of toxins. 6. Relax and reduce anxiety and tension. 7. Prevent menstrual cramps. Doctors have different theories about the causes of migraines and headaches. Most doctors agree however that they have multiple causes and that it is important to do a thorough examination if you have recurring headaches. 1. Stress and tension are high up on the list of culprits. Stress causes the muscles in the neck and head to tense up thereby constricting blood flow to the brain. 2. Migraine may be preceded by a spasm of the arteries leading to the brain once again diminishing blood flow to the brain. 3. Hormonal fluctuations may cause headache or migraine. This may also be linked to the contraceptive pill. 4. Buildup of toxins and poor liver functioning can also be responsible for headaches because of the body's inability to eliminate toxins from the diet or the environment. 5. Certain foods such as chocolate cheese nuts alcohol and MSG may trigger migraines in susceptible people. 6. Low blood sugar levels and dehydration can also bring on headache especially if you have skipped a meal. In naturopathic medicine headache and migraine is seen as a 'toxic' condition and a signal from the body that there is an imbalance in organ functioning. Naturopaths will treat the condition with the goal of restoring health and proper organ functioning not only to relieve pain symptomatically. Keep a 'headache diary' to help you to identify the food and beverage triggers which may underlie your headaches Regular exercise improves systemic functioning and boosts circulation leading to increased oxygen supply to the brain Avoid fatty foods and food containing MSG (Monosodium glutimate). Eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Don't skip meals! Headaches are often caused by low blood sugar levels. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to prevent headaches caused by dehydration. Speak about your feelings and learn not to take on too much Have regular breaks and walk around for a few minutes every hour if your job involves sitting at a computer all day. Prescription painkillers and synthetic drugs used to treat migraine and chronic headache may reduce the pain associated with these conditions but do not address the causes. This means that the person must continue to suffer and be dependent on the use of painkillers. The 'rebound effect' of many painkillers is well-known but seldom discussed in medical circles. In essence the 'rebound effect' means that continued use of some synthetic painkillers can be the cause of future headaches making the person dependent on the drug indefinitely. The chemicals in synthetic drugs can also accumulate in the liver reducing liver functioning and overall health. Many synthetic painkillers contain chemicals that can result in dependency which leads to daily use of the drug and withdrawal effects when it is stopped. “After years of headaches I tried MiGone. I am now completely off the pain tablets for the first time since I can remember”William. UK “I had (stress induced) migraine headaches at least once a week ever since my son was born 3 yrs ago. The pain was horrible causing my life to stop for hours at a time. I was on 2 prescription medications costing approx. $316 month (I have no med insurance) and I still got the headaches. I tried MiGone Plus about 5 months ago. I figured what could I lose. I did exactly as they said and I am happy to say I have been migraine free for about 4 months now. I never thought it could be possible that something so affordable could do what those expensive prescriptions couldn't. Thank you so much for such a wonderful product!”Natalie. PA “I have had a history of migraines since my 2nd child 1976. I have been to many doctors tried many things and have been through 5 migraines medications. Either nothing worked or I would have a reaction or sensitivity to it. Needless to say there were days of time with my family work and church that I missed. The pain would mean a trip more often than not to the emergency room. When coming across this site I figured what did I have to lose. I have followed the instructions on MiGone Plus. I am so very happy to say that after 1 week the migraines were gone or they were waning and less intense. I would even take MiGone when I would feel one coming on. To be relieved of the pain light and sound sensitivity has given me more that I could have ever wanted. This one product has changed my life. Needless to say there are several other products that I am using from Native Remedies. One is the Detox Drops because of the damage to my liver from all the meds. I hope to soon have my energy back. But to be free of total migraine pain in 6 weeks is just a blessing. Thank you for your high level of products and production and concern for the health of others.”Melissa. Alabama Our products contain no animal products gluten artificial colors flavors or preservatives. Manufactured according to the highest pharmaceutical standards. Individual ingredients are well-researched and are natural safe and effective. Tanecetum parthenium (Feverfew) is a well-known medicinal herb and one of the most widely respected in the prophylactic (preventative) treatment of migraine and chronic headache. There are many clinical studies to support its effectiveness in significantly reducing or completely eliminating the occurrence and the severity of chronic headache and migraine. Scientific research has demonstrated that Feverfew contains a range of compounds called sesquiterpene lactones the principle ingredient being parthenolide. Parthenolide has been scientifically shown to prevent excessive clumping of blood platelets and to reduce the release of certain pain inducing chemicals and inflammatory compounds. It has also been shown to make smooth muscle in the walls of cerebral blood vessels less reactive to vaso-constrictors - thereby relaxing constricted blood vessels and increasing blood flow to the brain. Silybum marianus (Milk Thistle) is regarded as one of the most important herbal liver tonics and restoratives. As is the case with Feverfew medical use of Milk Thistle may be traced back more than 2000 years. Like Feverfew. Milk Thistle has been subject to many clinical trials which clearly demonstrate its effectiveness. It is frequently recommended to counteract the harmful effects of alcohol and other drugs on the liver and clinical studies have shown that it helps the liver to return to normal functioning once drinking has stopped. Scientific analysis of Milk Thistle shows that it contains a flavonoid complex called silymarin which is largely responsible for the medical benefits of this herb. Silymarin is a powerful anti-oxidant and can block the entrance of toxins into the liver and remove toxins at cellular level thereby resulting in regeneration of liver cells and improved liver functioning. This would have a direct impact on overall systemic health as the liver is one of the most important organs in the body. Passiflora incarnata is a tropical herb which has been used since the 19th century for nervous conditions. Modern research supports traditional usage and clinical trials have demonstrated the relaxing and anti-anxiety effects of Passiflora. Passiflora is often recommended to treat anxiety and reduce tension and is also very useful in reducing the withdrawal symptoms of recovering drug addicts and alcoholics. Medical analysis has shown that Passiflora contains flavonoids which are responsible for its calming and anti-anxiety effects. MiGone Plus must be used daily to prevent the occurrence of chronic headaches and migraine. Dilute 10-15 drops in half glass of juice or water three times daily for six weeks. Thereafter 10 drops twice daily for a further six weeks. Repeat once or twice a year if necessary. An initial six weeks course is recommended at full dosage followed by a further six weeks at half dosage. Some people may need a repeat course once or twice a year depending on lifestyle and dietary factors. An additional dose may be taken at the early onset of migraine or headache. This often stops the pain in its tracks. MindSoothe and PureCalm when headaches are associated with depression anxiety and stress. Detox Drops if there has been a period of heavy eating drinking or drug use or exposure to environmental toxins. Don Quai and Femalite if headaches are associated with the menstrual cycle. MellowPause for headaches related to menopause. ImmunityPlus to boost immune functioning and increase resistance to illness and disease. StudyPlus for headaches linked to a heavy study load. MiGone Plus must be taken regularly and can take 4-6 weeks to show full results although improvement is often noticed earlier. Over the course of the past ten years at Ars we’re proud to have run a ton of technical articles that people keep coming back to for reference and geek edification. Among our most popular articles have been those dedicated to the inner workings of popular game consoles especially those from Sony and Microsoft. In this inaugural installment of Classic. Ars a new series aimed at introducing Ars classics to newer readers we take you deep inside the PlayStation 2. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. All the developer moaning about Cell’s challenges (more on this below) was just a repeat for Sony as the arcane process of wringing performance from the PS2’s Emotion Engine and Graphics Synth chips was downright excruciating. And when you coupled the console’s unique architecture with its initial lack of decent English-language programming documentation you ended up with a situation where desperate game devs would take whatever guidance they could get even if it came from a relatively unknown website and was written by a guy with a handle that was an homage to an “A-Team” character. My first article on the PS2. Sound and Vision: A Technical Overview of the Emotion Engine got me my own little cut of nerd immortality in the form of a footnote reference in an edition of the Bible of undergraduate computer architecture classes: Hennessy and Patterson’s All self-congratulatory rhetoric aside the article still stands on its own as a solid technical overview of a console that had a major impact on gaming and entertainment in general. (I suppose it’s safe to admit this publicly now: the article above was made possible mainly by a collection of NDA’d PS2 glide presentations briefing notes and whitepapers that showed up in my inbox over the course of a few weeks. Sony never contacted me with a takedown though despite the fact that I never sought their approval to publish any of the information.) I eventually wrote a follow-up article. The PlayStation2 vs the PC: a system-level comparison of two 3D platforms which was more accessible as it made use of analogies and diagrams to explain the differences between the new console and the PC + GPU combination that dominated gaming at the time. You might evaluate that Sony would’ve learned its lesson about foisting a difficult architecture on game programmers and then watching Microsoft seize the resulting opportunity by jumping in with a more traditional architecture and a superior toolchain; and you might think that Ken Kuturagi would’ve learned more about expectation management. But the PlayStation 3 was all about more: more air and more programming headaches. But as with its predecessor it’s the games that matter and the PS3 boasts some fantastic titles and an online service that’s growing more interesting by the month. The two articles above detail what IBM cooked up for the brains of Sony’s latest console. IBM also uses the chips described above in supercomputers because they alter great math coprocessors for certain scientific workloads. Sony wasn’t the only beneficiary of IBM’s processor design expertise in this console generation: both Nintendo’s Wii and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 are also powered by IBM processors. The 360 in particular sports a triple-core CPU that though comfort novel is far more conventional than Cell. Though the 360’s triple-core “Xenon” processor may not have as much peak theoretical performance as Cell developers have embraced it. When coupled with Microsoft’s excellent toolchain the 360 is by all accounts a dream to develop for and that ease of use has paid off for Microsoft in spades. Both of the articles linked above give an in-depth explanation of how this popular console renders games by using diagrams and comparing the process of rendering a scene on a PC to the affect of rendering one on the 360. I’d credit the 360 with picking up on the momentum that the PS2 built in the gaming market as far as moving the center of gravity in gaming away from the PC and into consoles. Both because it came earlier and because it was so developer friendly the 360 was really the crossover device that decisively tipped the balance of power in gaming toward consoles.
